Sabbour Engineering Consultancy Office was declared winner for a contract to design & supervise execution of works on the L.E. 50 million project to revamp Shaq Al Thooban area in Cairo known with its famous marble & granite production. The area now hosts about 220 factories highly specialised & capable to export both products. Client is Cairo Governorate. Job involves the design & supervision of implementation of water, waste water, roads & electricity distribution networks. According to Mr. Mahmoud Saleh Managing Partner at Sabbour, tenders for relevant works are scheduled to be released for bidding among contractors early 2003. Meanwhile Cairo Governorate is said to be considering to apply benefits & incentives provided for in the new export law on Shaq Al Thooban area.
