A contract was recently signed in Cairo with a Japanese consortium for the design, supply & erection of two gas turbines of 513 MW capacity to Cairo North power station extensions. The consortium groups Mitsubishi & Tomen companies. Client is EEHC – Egyptian Electricity Holding Co. The Contract is valued at JY 11.5 billion plus L.E. 14.9 million ( i.e. L.E. 414 million ). The project is backed by soft loans from AFESD & EIB. The project is for completion in 18 months. |
