Ranin Consortium, involving Al Khorafi Group of Kuwait & Raya Holding seems front runner for phase 1 of a national scheme to install 1.5 million stationary wireless telephone lines in the country. The deal is valued at $ 325 million. Egypt Telecom Chairman, Eng. Aqil Basheer, said the concerned award committee has not yet completed all its work & negotiations are now going on the draft agreement. Total estimated costs of the 5 million wireless telephone lines scheme, to be executed over 3 phases, are put at $ 700 million. |
